2020 November Blue Bag: Northcott

Northcott’s Fall 2020 release is packed with beautiful florals, scenic panels, as well as a full range of Holiday collections in various styles!

Ophelia showcases beautiful white peonies against a palette of serene grays and neutrals, while Scented Garden offers a cornucopia of flowers, bees and butterflies in a contemporary pastel color palette. Windsong is an elegant collection of florals in black and white, with pops of bright yellow contrast in a soft watercolor style.

New Dawn will take you on a magnificent tour of the Serengeti with its sophisticated panel and running yardage; featuring majestic elephants resting at the watering hole in an artistic alcohol ink-effect. Sail Away features vibrant blues mixed with off-whites in a variety of seafaring imagery over tossed blenders, and City Lights boasts city skylines and textured urban landscapes.

Banyan Batiks offers a wide range of beautifully hand-painted Indonesian fabrics. Our Fall 2020 Release features collections filled with florals and other stylized elements. Be spoiled with choice by our 13 vibrant collections for every one of your quilting needs.

While fabrics in the Luau collection offer a mixture of elements including totem poles and stylized leaves, Coloring Book II features rich tone-on-tones with a distinct watercolor technique. Create attention-grabbing projects with the unique double border design in Luau, that imitates hand carved wood. Combine these batiks with the saturated Coloring Book II fabrics for aesthetically pleasing rainbow-colored quilts.

Watercolor Florals and Color Me Banyan Strata both embrace the batik style of a watercolor painting with several hand-painted fabrics. Pair the gorgeous main design or all-over florals from Watercolor Florals with the multicolored batiks in Strata to create artistic masterpieces with endless possibilities.

October also marked the debut of our brand new Patrick Lose Fabrics division; showcasing two brand new holiday and basics collections from the quilter, designer, artist and overall renaissance man, Patrick Lose! Besides being an accomplished fabric designer, Patrick is also the author of multiple quilting and crafting publications, including his own magazine – Celebrations in Quilting – also available on our website!

For his debut series of blenders, Patrick has created Basically Black and White, a high contrast collection of two-tone textures, cross hatching and teeny tiny dots. Dapple features a subtle velvety texture in a punchy palette of 30 vibrant hues: ranging from black to lime green and neon pink. Mixmaster Mashup combines bright colors with fun patterns to create a unique collection of interesting dots, zigzags, curves and droplets in a selection of eye-catching colors.
