About Me

Married to Jim Fuquay and mother of two grown-ups: Jay, a management informations systems specialist, and Anne, a soon to be NICU nurse. I grew up in Glenview, Ill., summered in a small town in southern Michigan and majored in design at Purdue University.

I love sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, oil painting, stamping, beading, yoga, reading, walking, traveling, antiquing, decorating, collecting art and yes, shopping (called research and development). No, I don’t really have time any more to do all these things — I just said I like them all! Thankfully, my husband likes to garden and cook.

I was a child that never said, “Mom I’m bored, what can I do?” It was “Mom, I’m bored, what can I make?” I also remember, typing on the top of a cardboard box and filing papers, pretending I owned my own business. Dreams do come true!
