Our Advertising Targets

American Quilt Retailer reaches nearly 1,400 independent quilt retailers in the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Norway, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Iceland, South Africa and the United Arab Republic. These retailers are your customers!

Today’s marketplace is extremely competitive. Each wholesale market sees new vendors in every category. It is imperative to keep your name in front of the independent quilt shop owner often and on a regular, consistent basis. Advertising to your retail clients helps to reinforce and bring to the forefront all your other marketing efforts. Make advertising a priority in your 2011 operating budget to make your company a priority in the retailers’ inventory budget.

American Quilt Retailer subscribers read and depend on the magazine as the source for business and industry news. The comment heard most often from our readers is, “I read it from cover to cover!” Our unique policy of keeping advertising and editorial content separate, maintains the editorial integrity of the publication. This keeps readership and interest in the magazine high. Please send all artwork as PDF or Adobe Illustrator documents. Turn all text into outlines. Embed all art. Color ads must use CMYK colors with 300 dpi final output on color images. Save PDF files for maximum compatibility; press optimized. Send a hard copy of your ad for proofing. Mail CDs to:

Available on a monthly basis, your company may now advertise on the masthead of our newly-designed Web site. Your ad will rotate with other special American Quilt Retailer advertisers. Reserve for just one month, three consecutive months or six consecutive months.

You may change your artwork at any time. Send your artwork to Becky Couch. New art will be posted within 72 hours. Contracts begin anytime within the current calendar month.

Artwork needs to be 200 pixels by 130 pixels at 72 dpi. Creating art for the Web is different than creating art for print. Contact Becky Couch for helpful suggestions.

Blog Ads

Advertise on our "Missing Pieces" blog with a direct link to your website for only $75 a month! Tel us how many months you would like your ad posted on our blog page. Tell us which months you'd like your ad to be on our blog page. The first ad needs to be prepaid. Then we will bill you monthly on the 15th of each month, with payment due on the first of the next month. Want to make it even easier? Tell us how many and which months, and let us keep a credit card on file. We'll bill you automatically following your scheduling instructions.

Vendor Links

All advertisers in American Quilt Retailer can receive a free ad on our Vendor Links page.

As an American Quilt Retailer advertiser, you may place a 300px x 225px (approx. 4" x 3") ad. The ad needs to come to us as a JPG (flattened) or as a PDF with fonts and art embedded. Be sure to include your Web site address. Viewers can review these Web ads and then click to go directly from our Web page to yours.
